What´s going on with the top on those? "Unsanded" and "non-finished" maple? Kinda looks like the motherload of cracked clearcoat. I like the hum/P90 set-up, but all in all that´s just ridiculous.

Someone was on crack when they thought of this one. I would expect better from them. unsanded what is that going to do to your forearm? Raw is right as it says in the description.

Is Les still alive? Has he seen how Gibson just throws his name on turds like this?

p90 in the neck position is sweet.
i bet everyone here would get one if it was priced at $600...lol

I read it wrong... it actually doesn´t say it´s not finished, just not sanded and also non-figured. It´s gotta have some topcoat, right? But how do you get a coat to stick on something that´s not sanded?

I don't get why people are slagging this thing so hard on all the forums. Gibson makes about a dozen versions of the Les Paul for every species of you Retrophiles out there who want exact replicas of the first four 1959 Les Paul sunburst guitars to roll off the line right down to the specific molecular make-up of the 5th fret inlay and the smell of the output jack solder. Go buy those if that's what you want.

I like the control scheme on this - I love the P-90 in the neck, and I think it looks pretty cool, too. Especially the gold one. I don't see anything wrong with Gibson branching out and trying some new stuff. Maybe it'll get tanked in a year (probably) but at least they're trying. It could be SO much worse like the Norlin days where they screwed up every model across the board and gave the vintage guys no consideration.

I like it although I think it would look better with worn brass hardware.
