At that pricerange you can get almost whatever you want if you go used. Personally I'd go for a Soloist, SL2H-MAH if you need mahogony. Just block the trem if you don't want to use it.

I'm also interested in a Parker PM-20 Pro. I played one once when I was out in California and I liked it a lot. It seems to have most of the specs I am looking for sans the rosewood fretboard.

Anyone know any good online parker dealers? There are a few dealers around here but they do not have the PM-20 Pro in stock.

Schecter should have something that fits the bill.

At the original price, I agree with the newbie. Since your budget has changed I don't think you need our help anymore. (grab a PRS Standard)
