Before I give my opinion on this, I will say that I do have a love for the late 80s Kramer pointy guitars and you'd have to pry most of the Kramers I own out of my cold dead hands. That being said, I think it boils down to money for me when looking at the reissues. At this point (and this will probably change in the future due to rising prices on vintage American Kramers) it's generally cheaper to buy the original "vintage" model than it is to buy the reissues.... unless you can snag one on a scratch and dent. Yo has pretty good deals on those. That's the reissues though... when it comes to the lower line models (strikers, pacers, etc) I'd probably go for an import Jackson. Sadly it's for cosmetic reasons with these models because I absolutely cannot stand the MusicYo Kramer headstock. ACK I guess I'm shallow hahaha, but I'm diggin' the look/feel/tone of the import Jacksons more
