Cool. Nothing wrong with the LTDs. I had an LTD Eclipse with P-90s (EC-300P) that I thought was really nice. The Duncan Designed stacked P-90s also sound really good.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I had a LTD M302 and loved it with only 3 gripes. XJ frets were tall and skinny, the HZs (switched to Duncan Designed) and the action wasn't quite low enough, but I blame the tech for that one . The guitar was flawless. Sold it because I bought an ibanez and thought I was getting something better.

You'll probably like it. I've had 2 ltd's, didn't care for the first but I really like the mw 600 I've got now. I just read this thread and of course noticed the carpet, my wife ordered me the exact same thing and ups delivered it yesterday.

Between me and my twin brother we have gone down different paths.
I have an Sl3 and an Sl2 - He has an ltd DV8 and an ESP Horizon.
Those guitars are all lying around the house when we come back from college. I can honestly say that the ESP's are nice guitars. Not as nice in my mind as the Jacksons but they are good guitars. The horizon is especially nice.
That said I've played a few other cheaper LTD guitars that were absolute crap. Bad hardware and they felt cheap. Not nice, then again the JS series evoke a similar reaction with many people.
