  • Case for Gibby V?

Where can I get a reasonably priced case for a Gibson Flying V? I've only been able to find the Epiphone case (which doesn't look like it really secures the guitar that much) and the Gibson case (which is like $150!)

Well.. specialized gibby cases are expensive. 335 cases especially so.

Ebay has V cases liquidated every once in awhile. Gibson branded go for about 100.00
There's occasionally a larger style Washburn rectangled case or SKB that may fit too.
Gator makes specialized V capable cases that can be had every once in awhile.

Epi cases will be fine too, they're just less plush and detailed on the interior but I do not think the exterior construction is that much different save for a lock.

I tried tp put my Gibson V in a Vantage case - did not work at all. THe case was too shallow and the head was resting on the back of the case.

For a Gibson V, I'd spend the money for a Gibson case (which I eventually did, but I think it was one of those Canadian ripoffs because it smelled like Pledge and the lid was slightly crooked).

Yeah, I guess I will just have to breakdown and buy one... Oh well. I'll wait a bit before buying to see if anyone has any other suggestions though.
