  • My tribute to Chuck Schuldiner

Hello, I got a story to tell.
Almost two months a go I was at my friend's house and we were talkin about guitars and gear while drinkin some beer, you know, the usual sh*t. While talkin he told me that he knew a guy that live near his house that had an old bc rich and that he was willin to sell it cos he did not play it anymore. By his description I thought it was an old NJ warlock so I told him that if the price was not too high I could be lookin for buying it. After some days I got a phone call by him and he said "hey, it's not a warlock, it's a model called stealth". I answered "impossible!!"! I was totally surprised to find a guy in my city that had a B.C. Rich Stealth! The same body shape of the guitar played by one of the guys that most influenced my style, the great Chuck Schuldiner. The guitar showed his age, some rust on the hardware and pick ups, cheesy plastic gems glued on one horn ( ), various dings..I really did not care.

Now after two months I'm going to take it from my luthier, new mogany body, badass bridge and just one humbucker (di marzio dual sound).
Take a look of how it was when I received it. New pics will follow tomorrow.

Cool. I am a big fan of Chuck and the music he created. I remember being in HS and buying Scream Bloody Gore when it came out. Not a big fan of that early stuff, but man did he progress into a great player.

You lucky S.O.B.! You never see those in Norway! I've been gasing for one ever since I first heard Death.. If I get rich I'll look for one at the Bay... Untill then... The perennial quest goes on...

I've had a few of those, nice guitars. The N.J. series were MIJ and some had the Gotoh pickups that looked like ducan invaders.Sounded killer too. These are a very well balanced guitar not neck heavy at all.Congrats.

Congrats! Bolt-on NJ (MIJ) Stealth. What's the serial number? Probably from '84. They were also available as a fixed bridge. Needs an X2N. Why are you changing the body? Sounds like a ton of work...

Man! Your pic is better than 10000 words! Congrats on the USA Stealth and also for the priceless Chuck's sign!
The serial of my guitar is R842987. I pick up it few hours ago.
Here we go: (sorry for the shitty quality but it's night and my camera sucks. Better pics to come tomorrow)

Now it looks much better isn't it?
