  • Better than working, perfect V

Gibson should have bought Jackson. Then they could make this...

mohagany body and neck, 3/4" maple top.

control cavity in back. No pick guard.

    neck through body.

black nitro paint like the LPC.

    Jackson SL2H spec neck dimensions - compound radius 12" - 16", width.

Ebony fretboard with Gibson LPC style MOP block inlays.

    Grover kidney bean shape tuners.

    24 3/4" scale, 22 fret

    string through fixed bridge.

pickups to taste, threw in the Gibson style covered ones for starters but I would swap them out.

    body, neck and headstock binding

2 vols and 2 tones. Tone push/pulls to activate pickup, no switch. (Is there some reason this isn't done?)

Jackson style scarf joint for tilted back headstock so it has a shot a surviving a few bumps.

    Back to work....

that's kickass Tash. I love it!

I love Gibby V's, they are just "right" somehow with the rounded symmetry. I'm not a pointy V or a RR guy at all.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

I didn't know about the Y2KV. I guess it is pretty close to what I was daydreaming about.

Gibson make one like that already and it has the diamond on the headstock like a L.P.Custom.

I've seen that one but I think there were very few made. It was a 2002 limited run of 75 total of all 3 or 4 different finishes if I have the numbers right. I don't know how many Y2KVs there are out there. I think the Y2KV is closer anyway since it has the Jackson neck with the Gibson asthetic. Oh no, I think I've just talked myself into looking for a Y2KV.

Jackson also makes one already that really close with 3 on a side headstock.
