ahhh such a beauty ,damn I do love it in that color. Out of curiosity how do you guys like the stock pickups? and holy crap Heartfielder you found a 3rd?

Mine came with a Dimarzio super Distortion which is pretty hot in this guitar and I never use that bridge singlecoil. I used to have an old 540 Sltd with the IBZ pickups too and they sounded pretty decent as far as I recall.

You mean the single in the neck position. I don't use it either, much too weak. This is why I am really looking forward to the 540P-HH tonight. DHL attempted delivery but I had gone to the store and came back to find the "see ya Monday" notice. I said, no way, and got the guy to agree to come back. Of course this means my Wife will be the first to see it ...

to be honest, I don't think I'll ever use that neck pickup, so I'll leave it

I did miss however a black 540PII-SH recently which was for sale in the Netherlands.. aaaarghhhhh

Great score!!! I have always liked those but I've never come across one for sale other than ebay (where I rarely buy guitars).
The others in this thread are all great as well, especially the white and yellow ones.

I'm come to the realization that I'm a 2 Hum guy, so yeah I never use that neck single coil. Like you said its weak. This also raises a dilema for me with my SL1.

I just love the warm lead tones from the neck postion and really miss it if the guitar has a single coil up there.

Pebber that is the guitar I've wanted in 5-Alarm Red!!! I had no idea you owned that. See like I was saying in my pm I sent you, you have good taste in gear. I never heard back if you really lived in Belgium or something. Seems like there are more of these outside of the US for some reason, which begs me to ask you Heartfielder, how did you manage to find 3!!! Were they local purchases in Long Island?

I found the purple one in Texas and the other two from the same guy in Hollywood, CA. Now go ahead and try to find an Ibanez Artfield in the USA. I had to get one from Amsterdam and the other from France. I just may have a third in the near future !!!
