So i figured i would finaly post some pic's of this guitar. Black Les Paul Custom Lite with Floyd. It has been played hard, when i got it i had to get new locking nuts and do a major set up, some minor repair on one of the Trem posts, the hole was slighty to big so i had to fill it in a bit.
It is so playible, I can see why it is in the shape it is in, this guitar just has a mojo about it. Noodles who is not a big les fan couldnt keep his hands off it, same here. My only grip is the pickups are not hot enough for me and the routing is to shallow for any other pickup brand besides EMG's.
But if i put in EMG's then i can only put in one battery by taking out the coil tap switch and putting it between the volume and tone knob.
I dont want to mess with the route under the pickups as the floyd route is right under them, so there is not much wood between them. i have thought about maybe taking a pickup and cutting and soddering the tabs back on so they are smaller, any of you guys had luck trying this ever?
Anyway here are the pic's, anyone know what kind of pickups these are? The bridge reads about 9K on an ohm meter.
