So, I was pretty stoked to see this come in today, until I looked at the top of the box. Never trust a man in brown.








The guitar was very well packed so I assume, safely, that the goons at UPS were replaying the 49er highlights with his box. It shipped double boxed, no case and wrapped all to hell - all of which I knew well in advance. The guitar was,truly, wrapped to withstand anything. Oh well.

Yeah Dave, it's the Hamer V. Don't fret - I look forward to trying to repair it. Any suggestions for a refin, and save yourself the breath if you're gonna say "pink".

WOW dude that sucks. Looks like it was over packed. Wood needs to be able to flex a bit to release energy form an impact. Even a mild impact like tipping over if over packed can create anough energy within the guitar to make it explode if it cant expell the energy by vibrating it out. Like a fire cracker in your hand. With a closed fist it will blow your fingers off. With an open palm it will just give ya a small burn it that.
Let us know how the repair comes out.
And for the refin how about a Schenker V?
