Love my "I-been-had" RG7620. It's incredible at twice the price. I got it for $300 with case in flawless condition about 3 years ago. None blacker. Awesome pups. Yes, the neck is thin. Good balance but do know, it's a good hunk of lumber baby. I would not hesitate to buy one sight-unplayed.

Thanks for all the help guys, but I blew my wad on a DK2 earlier tonight. Just couldn't resist.

I will keep this all in mind though, as I will be purchasing a 7 string this year. Probably in the summer for my birthday.

You can pick up a used Squier Stagemaster for dirt cheap and despite the Squier name they really arent that bad.

There was a Squier model a few years ago called the Squier Stratocaster VII, which basically looked like a typical strat with vintage trem and white pickguard with 3 single coils, only it was a 7 string. If anyone has one I want it!

You can get a new Carvin DC727 for $799, but you have to buy the case, but isn`t expensive. Jack.
