  • I mugged Santa

Yeah the lil red bitch owed me from years past with no guitars or other gear. So i beat the sombitch and stole this..

Seriously tho he whined like a little bitch till smaked him over the head with the case. Whats a li'l Kris Kringle blood on a case that's seen bettter days. lol

Shhh i realy bought it from a friend of mine. I sold it too her a few years ago from work. I wanted it but she bought it. The she calls me the other day asking me what it would be worth on ebay. So i said i was actually thinking about that guitar the other day. So we worked it out and I picked it up last night. I finaly got the chance to plug it in and OMG. This thing smokes. I hate to say it but it plays better than my Charvel. lol It reminds me of my San Dimas strat head in playability and sustain. The tone is differant cus it's an alder body instead of the basswood, a JB instead of the custom custom, and a OFR instead of the Kahler. And a rosewood board vs the Maple. of the SD. Well with all that considered i guess its nothing like my SD lol Aside from its shape, pickup config and headstock.. lol OH well it's an awsome guitar and a keeper i think. It has some chipping in the clear cat at the fret ends. Not sure if it was from a refret or from the oard shrinking. Buit it plays great and no razers edged frets. So yeha im happy
BTW is this a contpmprary strat? or is it considered a HM strat?

It's a contemp strat.. I had one just like it back in the day - played AWESOME after I shimmed the neck and swapped over to a Duncan distortion..
I literally played that neck til it had no frets left on it
Looks like the Floyd was added, as those came with a modified 2 point trem. But looks like the lock nut is original
    Great guitar! Enjoy!

Thanks I thought i heard some where that is it was a contemparary. The floyd looks original but the trem cavity cover has the large slot for feeding the strings through. I hav'nt pulle it apart yet to check the trem rout but i may. It does have the same nut as my Squier strat that i modded to a frankenstrat. Luckily it has the micro tilt so i wont have to worry too much about shimming the neck.
      Thanks for the info.

No, the Floyd is not original. Original is a black with chrome rollers, chrome fine tuners and chrome bar System I. The post spacing of a System I is slightly wider than a Floyd. For a Floyd to work correctly you would need to modify the Floyd or dowl and redrill the posts.

I had one of these also back when they were new. I also had a black on black HSS comtemporary...

If this was post filled/re-drilled, I guess it's possible it might had been an H-S-S with the singles filled?

No, I doubt it. The HSS had a pickguard with a traditional like pickguard.

Mine (Pewter) was a single hum as well... that was a common configuration for this series
