  • BC Rich gunslinger grey snakeskin

A huge thanks to Chris (Firebird V) for sending this gunslinger my way! I've been keeping my eyes out for one for a couple years. I'm a big fan of maple necks with a single hum and floyds - adding a cool graphic is another bonus! This one is in very good shape - a couple battle scars but the graphic hides them well. This one came loaded with a Duncan sreamin' demon and an original floyd rose. The neck is very smooth and broken in. Overall, I'm very excited to grab this one.

And for those of you who haven't dealt with Firebird V, he's a great guy to deal with. He sent this one to me with out a case in the middle of the christmas rush. He had this thing so well packed with bubble wrap and tape, a gorilla could have thrown this around and it would have still arrived in perfect shape! Thanks a bunch, Chris!!!

Very nice indeed! One general question... What does a slanted pickup offer? I play one almost regularly at a bud's house and notice no difference in tone, is there something i'm missing?

The slanted pickup was an attempt to reconcile the spacing of the polepieces of the pickup with the string spacing of the Floyd Rose, before Floyd spaced pickups were available.

                        Thanks for the kind words!

As for the neck, it is very close to my GMW necks (1 5/8") but slightly thinner. I've heard others say that they are very San Dimas like. The only thing I have to compare it to is my SD strathead which has a wider and narrower profile than this. As Chris mentioned above, it really is a killer neck- it's very comfortable.
