  • Making myself something really classy.

Okay I was in this music store where they had a blow out sale of Allparts made bodies and necks which were seconds because of them having blemishes, dings or other tiny issues that made them less than perfect. I had my sights on what must have been the fanciest body in that pile.

It was a strat body with an S-S-H cavity rout in three tone sunburst with a curly maple top to die for and with front body binding. it looks killer, very similar to Stevie Ray Vaughan's Hamiltone custom strat.

And this is what I'm about to do with that killer looking body.

When I got home I installed a Kahler 500 series Killer bridge (and not a floyd rose as seen on the artist impression) and readied the guitar to take my favored Duncan pickups, if all goes as I want it to go then this guitar will be my main axe in the new band I'm starting.

I will keep you guys informed on the process as it devellops.

I'd be all over that thing... if it didn't have the strathead, had a black pickguard, had a H-S-H combo, had a solid finish, had a recessed trem, had the jackplate on the side.....

Just kiddin' man Very classy indeed, keep us posted!

Cool, apart from the lack of binding it's the same thing I'm building, I guess great minds DO tend to think alike.
