I hope mine doesnt yellow, i heard they put stuff now to stop it from yellowing. i love alpine white and want it to stay that white.

Thanks, yours looks nice too. I had a 96 i think, or somewhere around there, and wasnt near as good as this new one. i think i am gonna sell my 68 flame top, i never play the damn thing anyway, to heavy for me and i am in love now with the white one.

Ok, I asked this yesterday on the LP Forum but haven't heard back. How does the serial numbering work on LPs? i.e. how in the heck does 03046 work out to Oct. 31st, 2006??

Wow, you guys only hangle for acouple bucks? Around here our local music store has a huge markup... they where asking $350cdn for a BBE 482i! I went in and talked to Dave (the guy I always deal with) and asked him what he could do me in for. He calculated his commission and said $250. I laughed, and walked out of the store.

Went in the very next day and first thing he says is: "Evan, I can do $225+tax, and I'll throw 20 free picks and 2 packs of strings". I told him I'd need a rack too, and I got a Gator 6 space rack, BBE 482i and a Alesis PowerConditioner for $575cdn + a case of strings and 20 picks.

But yeah, nice guitar for sure!

Thanks, I had already known that as i posted above, Unfortunaly I have had enough gibsons to know how to date them, it is when you get the reissues/custom shops that it gets harder. I have it written down somewhere how to do those too.

When I was up in Canada shopping about.. I thought prices at pawn shops and music stores were suprisingly on the high side. You guys must have to compensate for higher taxes or something. I thought my bucks would go alot further up there. I thought the casinos were more dollar friendly tho.

That is a sweet looking axe.. I may have to check one out produced around that time if I can. Been picking up a Paul almost all the time now when I do have time to play.
