New BC Richs for 2007 !

A friend of mine played a bunch of the new import BCRs at NAMM. He said the Widow bass didn't neck dive and almost all the imports were top notch.

I'm so sorry to have to agree with you Zeegler-you know me,Fan and abuser of B.C.Riches for over 20 years,and that thing SUCKS,as does the Widow bass-looks nothing like the USA version

BCR have strayed from their righteous path for years though, so I really wouldn't expect any better from them any more. It's a real shame, because their old stuff was so classy. That V thing is the complete opposite of class IMHO. The stuff I've seen coming out of the custom shop seems to be the good stuff though. Remember that white archtop V that was on Ebay for the longest time? That thing was absolutely awesome. I woulda bought it if I had $3k to spare.

And yep,the Customshop was turning out some nice stuff,my December 2003 Eagle (Wonky) bass is awesome,shame the customshop might get canned if the rumours are true or worse

I guess BCR are just trying to do what Jackson have done. IMHO the Eastern-block guitars will become kind of like standardised Customshop stuff (i.e. Jackson Select). Remains to be seen whether they'll just kill the Customshop completely though. Time will tell; whether their new range sells effectively or not.

Wait till you see them in person. My experience with the older NJ Classics was that they looked very "plastic" thanks to the thin veneer. Remains to be seen if these are any better.

I guess at least it's not the same as the traditional "R" they use on the hand-crafted guitars. Bound to confuse a few people, though.

I still like to keep up with where they're going. All the years of (really bad) imports has tarnished their other guitars, but there's always hope.

the new assassin (remodel) is awsome ... i ythink i may get the classic exotic asm. its their only guitar w/o a wierd shape, and the stats look good
