I can't really compare to Strats because I've only played one - a used Buddy Guy sig at Guitar Center. That particular strat sucked... and I'm a huge Buddy Guy fan and had been waiting to try one out for years.

    Nice.........

For that price, I'd probably bought it too. When I looked at the Comanche, it was the pickups that didn't do it for me, I guess they're called Z pickups, but I'd learn to live with it at that price.

      I've had these:

      White Rampage (Like Jerry's)
      Black Legacy - 2 hum
Trans Green ASAT Deluxe (think tele shaped Les Paul - WOW!!!)
Cherry burst ASAT Classic - beautiful, with front/back body binding.

These guitars were all TIP-TOP in quality. Re-sale was rough though, but the value seems to have creapt up a bit since I had mine. I put Sperzels on two of them, and one came with them. They all sounded "the way they should", and were all tremendous players except the Rampage, with had an odd neck profile, and kinda hurt my wrist to play.

I had one before...very nice guitars! My only problem with them and a big one is the necks are very narrow, especially at the nut!!! And the headstocks, well.... aren`t the most attractive to be nice about it!!! :ROTF:
