While watching SRV's DVD "Live in Austin TX" it was pointed out to me (by my son) that my Strat was the same color as Stevie's yellow...or as he called it "Scotch" (short for butterscotch) guitar. I had to agree although Stevie's was about 20 years older than mine and aged a little darker. Anyhow....I decided to make my Strat a tribute to one of my all time favorites and try to copy the SRV Scotch. I ordered a turtle shell pick guard and authentic "SRV" stickers exactly like the original #1 guitar. Here is the result. Not only is it a good player....but a tribute to Stevie.
