      You're partly right.

      I do know Jack.

Payback is a bitch (not a bich)

      The picture is hysterical. :ROTF:

And you have to admit the poll was pretty funny. I'd forgotten about that. Thanks for the reminder.

"This guitar will need a re-fret and has some gouges in the fret board", how difficult is that? People buy or for what it is or not...simple as that.

On the other hand some are fine..just an unpopular color (latte creme)

Try this: call up a dealer and say "I want to by 60-80 or more Gibson, Charvel, Jackson and Fender Custom Shop guitars per year, what can you do for me?" See what kind of pricing you get.

I get a return policy for what I don't keep or sell. Helps them out by getting rid of the sludge and supports my "habit". There are many Gibson dealers that don't want to re-manufactur guitars that are "good enough"and Gibson will NOT take them back. Look at the label on your '58 RI box. It say "attention dealers: unauthorized returns are subjet to a 15% restocking fee"...right?

I see a ton of guitars brand-new right out of the box and some people want to argue......
This makes absolutly no sense to me. You bitch about the quality, which I can understand, I've seen some dogs too. But then you buy them and make money off of them? I don't get it. Sorry. Sounds like your biting the hand that feeds you...

                    And no, I wouldn't pay 1800 for a Class 5 that needs a refret...
                    I'm angry because you're stupid

                      • Tim is one of the few guys around here that I would ask advice of, Pete (twisteramps) and Sully are others in that same vein (there are others as well). Guys that actually know what they are talking about and who's advice is well rooted in fact and experience. And Tim is a blast to hang out with. A major plus!

                        • Just my 2p (or cents, whatever). I got a Zakk Sig. - the binding doesn't lay flat with the body - it's like it's shrunk. Having said that, it plays & sounds great - although I am the first to admit I am NOT the font of all knowledge re guitars - I just know what I like. I've got a Standard as well - quality-wise not as good as some of my other guitars, but plays ok, sounds like a LP - and got me back into playing after a decade or so off. It's a Gibby & inspirational. Given the price (especially over here) I could expect more, but I'm happy enough. I had problems recently with necks moving around (temperature or whatnot) - lots of unwanted buzzing - none of my Gibbys were affected. Is this a quality issue?

                              • I've looked long and hard at my LP Std Prem pretty closely after monitoring this thread for a long time(long long long time actually). It's built perfectly. I have no complaints at all. I've been tweaking my Eric J. sound on my strat 62 RI(MIA) for the last few months and I pulled out the LP for a comparo. There is no comparison. Both guitars are very well built. I have no complaints at all. The workmanship is beyond reproach on both guitars and the sound is as expected. Thin & Mean as expected. Action is good and equal on both guitars. Height at 12th fret is less than 3/16th on both guitars. I played both before purchasing.
