  • New Carvin DC727C 7 string has landed

SWeeeeeeeeet Just got delivered today. the neck shape on this is perfecto. Tung oiled neck, Mahogany body mahogany neck Maple quilt top , birdseye maple board. Stainless steel 6100's abalone fret markers.
Finish is beautiful, no fret buzz anywhere, the setup right out of the box is pretty nice, but I'll tweak it to my liking.
    yeah fucking metal!!!!!

some licensed thing that begins with a "T". It feels pretty good, but I may swap in an OFR at some point down the line (along with Duncans too) these pick ups sound pretty good, but a Custom 5 and a 59 in this will kill.

Killer axe The maple board really sets it off. I'm thinking that's one of the best b-slingers I've ever seen!!

It's triple step Burnt Umber with sunset burst Edges.
It came out really nice, I'm pretty pleased with it.

thanks! Carvin did a great job on this one.
                        they're the stock Carvin 7's. C26's
they don't sound bad, the clean is beautiful, the high gain sound , the jury is still out, so far I like them, a lot of people complain that they are bright but they get maple necks and alder bodies with ebony boards, so the guitar is going to be bright anyway. Mine sounds great thru my 5150, but I just literally got it hours ago so I need some time.
                        So far So good though.

Nice guitar. Carvin makes great stuff. Make sure you measure the pickup routes before you decide to swap in new pickups. Carvin pickups are not standard sized.

Thats cool, it will definately scream with some duncans in it I bet For some reson the fretboard looks more quilt maple-ish than birdseye but that might just be me. Still looks killer Glad you enjoy it. I'm forcing myself to hold out for an RR24 and not just go buy a seven string to mess around with as I've been thinking about doing lately.

I've got a Schecter hellraiser 7 too (which I really like) but I sorely missed not having a floyd and I always wanted a 24 fret neck thru with a maple board, so cost wise this was the way to go, and I got to pick out everything but the p/us and the floyd.

John I've been told that the routes for the p/us are under sized, I'm going to have to have the plates ground down a bit to get them to fit. (if I even bother I'll wait and see)
