Wayne Guitars Lap Steel. Play one?

Yes, you have read the title correct!
These Wayne Charvel Lap steel guitars are very cool and
I have a chance to buy one with the nice hardshell case
for only $100!! It is like new too..
Anyone around here play a lap steel and is it a hard instrument to play
correctly?
Seems like a cool piece for a hundred bucks...crank it up through my JSX head!!
