Chinese Gibsons? WTF?

BTW, "Steve from VHT" is NOT Steve Fryette, he just likes VHT amps a lot. Regarding Gibson - screw em, I'll play my PRSi. If I found an amazing deal I might be lured to the LP side again, but digging through several high dollar gibsons to find one without issues and that plays/sounds great is stupid. If PRS and Hamer can have uniform quality of their instruments, why can't Gibson?
