      The neck blank is cut with grain running up in down. The neck is less likely to warp. I finished it with Tru-Oil. See Link: http://musikraft.3dcartstores.com/Qu..._c_14-1-1.html

        It's how the piece of wood was cut for the neck.
        "Quartersawn" necks are much stronger than "Flat sawn"

            o i c. That's good to know. Now I know what they mean when they are talking about the SLATQH. BTW do you know if my SLSMG has a quarter sawn neck?

              IIRC, Most Jackson's have a quartsawn neck.

                      looks like a super strat had a one-night stand with a wayward Tele and this thing was born!
