  • Peavey Falcon Classic

I just got this guitar, USA made, Peavey Falcon Classic, white, bi-laminated maple neck, 22 frets, 3 single coils, vintage style trem.

Anyone had any experience with them?

Im about to give it a good play, just wondering if anyone has used them, issues, problems, good points etc i should know about.

i'm loving the look and feel of the neck, i dont know what bi-laminating is or does but its in good nick for its age. Maple = yum!

I believe they are the original single coils in there.

Had it dated by peavey, 89 model.

What you all think? supposed to be as good or better than alot of strats out there.

Haven't played a Falcon but I owned a Predator once and it was a great Strat. The Bi-lam necks hav e lasted the test of time over 20-30 years, the idea being that it's tougher than a 1-piece neck. I found mine to be a lot nicer than the Mexican Fender Strat I owned at the same time. The issues would be that of any Strat, their 4-screw vintage trem works about like the 6-screw Strat trem - not that well. Then you have the benefits and limitations of 3 single-coil pickups. They're nice guitars though, and a bargain compared to most USA-made guitars.
