  • Pics of my Strat

I bought this back in November but just got around to taking pictures of it. It is a USA Fender Strat with a mahogany body and trans red finish. I replaced all the plates with a set from Axe Guardz. I saw them at NAMM and figured what the hell.

I never said I was used to it!

It is different but doesn't bother me too much. I have a right angle cord I use with it sometimes.

Transparent red is killer on mahogany.

Does it sound a little warmer than an alder or ash Strat?

I would think if he left it outside during the winter.. it would sound a little colder..(couldn't resist)

It's an American Special Mahogany HSS. I am not sure it sounds that much warmer than a regular strat.

The jack plate is like that because of the material they used for the pick guard and back plate. It does look funky but it works.

Nice! Looks very cool! Looks like abalone dots in the neck?
                            Needs a Floyd though

....which is basically an American Deluxe Strat H-S-S (abalone dot inlays, 2-pivot point tremolo, locking tuners, "rolled" fingerboard edges, etc...) with a mahogany body. Awesome looking guitar. Love the black headstock. I came this close to buying one before I got a custom shop Charvel. I may still get one yet.
