  • The ESP Viper, a Patrick Eggle Iommi model rip-off?

I just noticed that the ESP Viper looks suspiciously similar to the very Rare Patrick Eggle guitars Iommi Artist signature model.

Only the Eggle appeared ten years prior to the ESP

While in that color scheme they appear close, in other color schemes it seems liek a lot less of one. Ive always looked at the Viper as a modified SG.

Mmm, they both look suspiciously like a Gibson SG. Weird.

I don't know..I say they're more than welcome to knock off whatever model they set there sites on. ESP usually does a better job building the shaped they steal than they company that actually designed it in the first place.

          WELL DUUUHHH!

What I was reffering to is that the Eggle Iommi Artist was the first SG-like guitar with an offset waist design and the ESP Viper is shape wise a carbon copy.

does every post of yours have to go the Gibson ultra bashing one trick pony route?

I mean, in topical threads, fine, but every post?

it is true Gibson has QC issues.
so does the Charvel Custom Shop.
                we all know these things.
we don't have to hear it every day to know they have issues. the schtick gets old.

I've found that SG's actually have the fewest QC issues. Way less than it's bigger brother the LP...

As for who ripped off who? They both ripped off Gibson. I'd just buy one of those...
                    I'm angry because you're stupid

I heard they were going to come out with a Hello Kitty SG but they figured the SG is wimpy enough on its own.

You might wanna recheck my post...I don't think I ever said Gibson? Yeah..nope..I didn't. Huh....must be that time of the month.
I just said ESP does a good job, "build quality-that is" of knocking off guitars...usually better build quailty than the company that originally did the design. Bitch, bitch, bitch....damn shame!

You didn't have to say that you meant Gibson since they are the originators of the SG.
