  • Faded Les Paul Standard

I've been waiting for the "right" one to pop up. Pretty unique top for this series...

Nice top! How are the PJ Marx? I remember them being pretty hot pickups.
    1+2 = McGuirk, 2+4 = She's hot, 6-4 = Happy McGuirk

Very cool looking guitar. I had a Marx bridge p'up YEARS ago... loved it. Should sound killer!

        Nice one!
I've got a great one on layaway. Not as pretty as this one, but she just sings!

Nice! You know what else is cool (and cheap) in the Les Paul world?

The new BFG. I played one in Nashville last week at the Gibson Showcase. Absolutely smokin' guitar! Kinda weird with the "unfinished" feel...especially the "wavy" top. But a badass axe nonetheless.

I've checked out the BFG and while it may be a good player, I can't get past some of the features.
I would have to have a trussrodcover and other knobs (no big deal) but I really, really can't live with the uncovered P90.

But overall Gibson's Faded series appear to be pretty good value for money AND quality.

I'm dying for the BFG's to make it over here. I really want to try one of those.

While I'm not a huge fan of the Gibson Faded line, that top is nice. Imagine how nice it would be with a nice clearcoat to really make that flame pop...

I did have a Gibson Les Paul Raw Power for a short time that I liked alot. There is something very brutal about a LP with no clear, they are mean beasts...
                I'm angry because you're stupid
