buzzsaww.......Friggin` AWESOME!!!!!!!!
They play so sweet,don`t they?
Did you leave the pups stock? I picked up a set of DiMarzio`s to through in there but i`m really liking the stock ones more and more!!
I may just return the DiMarzio`s and get a pedal or something instead.
Straight up stock. I tried an EMG81 in the blue one and it sounded terrible! I might go for a Duncan Custom Custom because when I play tried my warrior compared to the subs the subs come out sounding very flat. I also have a Screamin Demon I will try eventually. I used to own a Sub bass also. Really good value guitars.

They really are great guitars. The best USA made guitar you can buy for the money that`s for sure!! I think i`ll leave it stock for now then later on put the DiMarzio`s in there for a change of pace! I bought the DiMarzio`s the same day i got the SUB thinking i would definitely have to upgrade the stock pups, but they are pretty damn good IMO!
the stock pickups definitely are good for a guitar in its price range...well, when i bought it i got it for 450 barely used. why are they so expensive in Musicians Friend? 600-700 bucks? well, im not complaining...LOL
i think the only reason i dont like playing it that much is the medium frets...i prefer jumbos. and like i said i changed the bridge pickup to a Duncan Distortion and the tone is awesome, and sustain is great as well.

The Musicman`s website states they are high profile medium width? From all the guitars i`ve owned with medium jumbo frets, they look similar to those! But whatever it is,i love this guitar!!!

i actually picked up my Sub the other night and plucked around on it...and man i really dont think i can sell it. i originally wanted to get rid of it and use the money to refret and put new electronics in my PRS...but i dont think ill do that now. ill just wait for my brother to finish paying off the Epi LP i sold him, and use that for a refret and get some new pots and junk, and slap the Duncan Designed HB103's ive got laying around into it for the time being.
decisions, decisions. ive got a lot of guitars...and i hate giving any of them up

All Musicman guitars are keepers IMO!!! When i compare them to other companies, they just seem to be head and shoulders above most in every aspect! The SUB guitars are Musicman`s lowest priced at $600-$700 new, but their WAY better then some guitars that i`ve owned from other companies that cost over $1,000!!!! Great company with high quality stuff!
The sub is the only Music Man guitar ive ever played! LOL it was definitely impressive when i first picked it up (except the pickups, i prefer higher output ceramics) and thats why i bought it. since then shes been beating up at many gigs and has never failed.
the only thing i dont like? no cutout on the rear LOL a small gripe, but it doesnt hug me like my Dinky or Hellraiser. maybe i should do a cutout myself and refinish it? maybe one day...and its the only hardtail guitar i own. i might have to keep it around...LOL
