  • MusicMan SUB 1 guitars!

Just picked up one of these used but in mint condition. Excellent quality like all MusicMan`s stuff is!! Best American made guitar out there for the price IMO! Any other SUB 1 owners in here?

Seems like the most affordable way to get a real US-made quality guitar
I recently got hold of a Silhouette myself and it's so cool.. Top quality!

Musicman Guitars=Top Quality, you just can't go wrong with them. I have never seen a MM guitar that wasn't less than perfect in build.

Yep, I've got a black SUB 2 PUP with trem. Great guitar.
Only downside is the textured paint job. But I realize it's
for the sake of keeping the price down. Kind of sucks
because the satin finish on the neck is beautiful. I
wish they would've finished the body the same way.

Anyway, congrats on the score, and enjoy that
        great guitar...

I know what your saying about the textured paint on the body,i didn`t care for it at first when the series first came out. Although, it grew on me rather quickly because it`s very durable and i like the fact that it doesn`t show fingerprints,dirt,ect...

If you like MM Subs, get them now while you can. The Sub series was discountinued a few months ago.

I had a pair. They were pretty decent. Unfortunately, the looks just BORED me though, so they moved on.

Is there a non-trem version of these?

I've got a Sub bass, and it's great. Money better spent on a US instrument.

ive got a Sub 1, hardtail. i put a Duncan Distortion in the bridge of mine (the stock pickups were ok, but were too warm for my tastes). the Distortion kicked it up a notch though! heres me rockin' out some Tool on it!

and actually im thinking of getting rid of it...i just dont play it anymore and the neck doesnt fit me as well as my Jackson's, my PRS, or the Schecter Hellraiser FR i just picked up. but i have reservations about selling it at the same time, as it is an awesome guitar...now that theyre discontinued, do ya think the price will go up? LMAO!
