The Celebrity's are the low end of Ovations. The last I checked they were Korean made. Good guitars for taking to the beach and banging around outside in the weather. The level of quality and refinement goes up from there in the standard line and to the King, the (Adamas models) which I'm lucky to have. It's a early 80's vintage model Adamas II.

Ovations sound good unplugged, but even better amplified. I've had quite a few over the years.

You have to play each one. 1 out of 3 will be a winner imo. I actually
found my niece a Celebrity round soundhole that played as nice as my
USA Elite and i paid $213.00 out the door! Some ive picked up, felt
crappy, and some ive picked up, played and sounded like a $950.00
Ovation. Try to play 5 or 6, and you will know. Also check out fret
finishing, as to sharpness, or lack thereof. The one i bought only needed
a touch up at the 15th through 19th frets on one side. Overall it was
smooth. But you can get a very nice one for under $300 imo

As was mentioned above, play several before you buy. I bought mine almost 20 years ago, still plays great. Payed more for the Ovation hardshell case than I did for the guitar.

            WOW.... nice one there ..........
I'm going to go to the pown shop and look and see
what they have I'm looking for a 12 string and they are harder to find then
your every other day 6 string.
I also wont a Ovation which will be harder to find in a pawn shop.
so I hope they have one I like and if not there is a Ovation 1115 Pacemaker
it is $ 300 dose any one think that's too high? if it dose tell me.
Oh yeah shipping is $ 53.84 which is high but that's ebay for ya.

            Thanks every one.......................

Ovations are very durable as stated above. I found some of the medium depth bowl ones to be very comfortable to play however I have noticed that a lot of Ovations have a V neck carve.

The Celebrity I had definately had a hard V neck carve.
