its actually pretty light. lighter than my DX10, maybe a tad heavier than my PRS. i was actually surprised that it is so light. i weighed my DX10 in around 8 lbs, and id guess the Schecter is around 7. light, resonant, deep and clear tone.
and this is only the 2nd Schecter ive ever played...the first one was a C1 XXX (the GC model with the stripper inlays) and that guitar felt kind of sub-par...it played ok, but just didnt "feel" right. this guitar, on the other hand, feels right all over. dunno why there was such a big difference, but that doesnt matter. this is a solid guitar that sounds great and plays great as well.

and i believe it was the ONLY Schecter with a Floyd at the GC in Nashville. they said they dont hardly get any and this one just got there a few days ago, and you could tell because the strings were clean and there werent any fingerprints on the guitar!

        sorry...didnt mean to ramble.

it'd be rad if Schecter made a V with that headstock

i really wish they offered a larger nut. The guitars look great and Ive played a few that felt really nice. However my hands really prefer a wider 1 11/16 nut as opposed to the schecter's 1 5/8!

Sorry, I thought long and hard about this guitar, but the binding turns me off.

is it really 1 5/8th? feels wider than my Music Man's nut...i dunno, dont care LOL i find it comfy, almost as comfy as the Jackson 1 11/16 nut, so its all good. the Music Man on the other hand...for some reason isnt as comfy. it just feels a lot tinier.

the abalone on the body and headstock turned me off when i looked at pictures, but in person its a whole nother story. pictures dont do it justice IMO...but everyone likes something different

and actually the fretboard DOES have binding. i could take a close picture but it wouldnt turn out...but you can clearly see it if you look at the fretboard.
