Any Ibanez pro's?

I got this strange RG model that no one seems to be able to fully identify..

It looks like a typical RG350DXWH.. but it's got V7/S1/V8 pickups, normal dotted inlays, gold hardware and it's made in Japan in 1998.
It's plays "alot" better than any typical RG's i've tried.



Been going through all productcataloges and even asked over on the Ibanez forum.. they werent 100% sure either.

I believe it was a Japan-only model.

On Ibanezregister.com, under 'old gallery' on the left (then click 'The Guitars'), under the RG section is what someone calls an RG390. He says:

I own a Black Ibanez RG 390 which I bought in 1998...
unfortunately for me I can no longer find any information at all on it, I understand it was limited but how limited I don't know. When I first bought it they was said to be 250 in the uk only.
Any light shed on this would be a huge relief, am I sat on a treasure or a lump of lead...
its a fantastic guitar though, sound and tone, very very flexible.

Googled RG390, and it came in white finish aswell.. so looks to be the same
