No need... You can get a CS Pro Closet Classic with the 12" radius from the factory. The trem is very nice too... The bar is really thick (almost Floyd size), and it stays in tune extremely well. I have one and it is a great guitar. I got it for less than the EJ.

FWIW, I played a Fender Custom Classic this week, which Fender claims is "The Custom Shop version of the American Series Strats". I thought it was really nice, but I'm not so sure that I would pay $600.00 more than a regular American Strat.

Actually, I also played a plain old used American Series Strat that really grabbed my attention, and at $700.00 I just might have to buy that guitar.

I am still looking for a strat as well. They have so many models it is tough to decide. The EJ is on my list. I haven't played one yet so I still have some research to do.

I liked the EJ strat when I played it. It really has a great strat sound. For me though, my Trower Strat, not the original CS version, but last years re-release, is an even better guitar. It is also a CS made model and I thought the playability was a notch better than the EJ strat.

Thanks to this thread I made my decision and picked up a Strat.

They are both great guitars and you really can't go wrong either way. I haven't played many Suhrs but the ones that I have were top notch. I have played many, many CS Strats and most were fantastic, with a few that I would say weren't bad but were nothing special either. That said, I would take an Anderson over either of them...I have never played a better instrument.
Ultimately, you need to get your hands on a few and make your own decision...go with what you think is the best and forget what we all have said.
