you can get just the soptail piece with fine tuners and put it on your existing TOM bridge. It would work the same, but look more like a les paul bridge... which may be more visually attractive.

My singer has one on his Heritage, works brilliantly. I'd have them on all my guitars - if I had any with a fixed bridge, that is...

I would like to try one of those as well. Great concept. I too would like to try a Floyd lock nut with this bridge.

Having said that, Dave Mustaine used one on his Bich.

I think a kahler locking nut would be better if you were to experiment with this bridge. That way you're not cutting into your fretboard, and it's much easier to install.

I've used that on both my BC Rich guitars and they work way better than the original bride.

I had a tailpiece with the fine tuners on my Paul. One of the best things I ever did. No more fussing with the headstock in the middle of a set.

They are awsome bridges. I believe some Explorers had them in the 80`s. Maybe the designer series? Jack.

That particular bridge in the first post will only fit on a guitar that has a wraparound tailpiece because of the post spacing. I bought one a couple of years ago and found that out the hard way

Too bad those also don't fit on every guitar with a TOM bridge. I bought one years ago, and it wouldn't fit on my Hamer, Carvin or Jackson JJP. The tailpiece post spacing was different.

or if someone breaks the headstock off! i know, long shot, but ive heard of it happening before

Unless I missed it, I haven't seen any indication of who makes these. Too bad about the post spacing, but I'd keep them in mind for a custom piece.

The 456 is awesome. It doesn't look uglier either, now a Kahler, thats but ass ugly. I had one of these on a Warmoth in combination with locking tuners. I don't really think you need a lock nut, it was absolutely rock solid with just locking tuners.
