  • Fast and thin neck on a Strat

I wan't to have a strat someday but I don't like those fat necks that most of the strats have, I'm used to me Kramer Stagemasters thin and fast neck. With that in mind, what fender has a thin and fast neck or what's the name of the fender neck that is the thinest one? prefferably on with a floyd on it.

the highway 1 series necks are about the thinest necks on a fender that i've played, the squires necks are pretty damn fast, swap out a hardware and electronics

The Highway 1 necks are the exact saem neck that's on the USA made Strats. right down to the fret wire and the finish. So it wont be any thinner than a USA Fender neck. Cus it's the same neck.
The thinnest neck on a strat you'll find is maybe and old Japanese squier. I have one and its thinner than the USA and Highway 1's( same neck).
The neck I have is almost as nice as my old 82 San Dimas neck. But it's finished. So it oculd be a close second. Altho its only 21 frets. Hey it worked for EVH for a while.
Some of ther Stagemaster series have thinner necks and 12in radius boards.

Fender with a Warmoth neck? They make the Wizard profile for Strats.

I have a 1989 Heavy Metal strat. I don't think it's a fat neck, but it seems wide. 24 frets as well.

If you can find one, the old Aerodynes had thinner faster player necks. Japan made and cool as hell too.

The highway 1 series is a USA body and neck exactly like the USA Fenders. with USA electronics now too. And a nitro finish. The only thing done in mexico on the Hwy1 is the finish and the assembly and final set up and inspection. Thats it. If you played an MIM strat its not the same as a Hwy1 or a USA strat.

Huh? Nothing you have listed is done in Mexico. In fact Fender stopped making the California series because they were told they couldn't call them USA becuase the finsh was sprayed in Mexico befor being sent back to the US for assembly. There are no nitro finishs from fender Mexico.

This thinnest Fender neck I have is a Squier Strat neck made in Korea with an E7XXXXX (1987) serial number. It it just great. Well made, medium frets. And smooth as silk.
I am a true ass set to this board.
