The guy is Yuriy Shishkov (Russian who moved to the USA in 1990)
He is one of few Senior Master Builders in Fender CS.
Prior to Fender he was working at Washburn CS in 1991-1999 (actually for a long he was Washburn CS) where he made guitars for Nuno, Dime, Jennifer Batten etc...

He has no personal site, though there's a site run by his Russian fans, but it's in Russian.

As for cost... Well it was ordered a year ago and the cost is almost the same (a notch bigger) as the avreage J/C CS price for 2007. And this is Senior Master Built.

I think I've met him at the Fender factory in Corona.

Damn you all ! I was going to go with Suhr for my next custom and now you have switched my mind !

I called the nearest custom shop dealer and looks like my options are greater if I order a Fender compared to a Suhr (Fender will do custom headstocks, body shapes etc.. within reason).

Very cool. I bought a custom shop Fender strat earlier this year and its completely awesome.
I thought their master builts were a lot more expensive though, like 5-8k or something. 3-4k for a master built seems really fair to me considering the quality they offer.

It's difficult to talk about pricing, because it differs from country to country due to currency rates, taxes and duties, etc...

I can just compare. But I compare 2006 Fender CS quote with 2007 J/C CS qoute. I suppose Fender CS prices went up a bit as well.

Also there are a lot of factors that can make Fender masterbuilts way more pricey

1) Artist model
2) Relic
3) Any artwork
4) NAMM model
