So, I jumped in and bought the Fender. I wasn't expecting to find a Custom guitar at the bottom of my range, but there it was. I also wasn't looking for a relic (either way, I don't really care) but now that I know what a relic is, I have to say it's a goofy marketing concept. They actually took a chunk of the fretboard out on purpose (well, at least I think it was on purpose) on the low-E first fret, just by the nut. The rest of the "damage" looks kind of cool, actually. I like the checking all over the body and the headstock. Rusted bridge saddles and tuners, I can do without them.
Anyhow, here it is, followed by pics with the remaining family (I've sold about 11 long term guitars recently as I decided to only have one of each, instead of multiples. The Anderson below is already gone and the Charvel will move soon, but then I'll need to pick up an EVH):
Now pics of the family:
Jackson Soloist Soft Archtop (Koa/Spruce)
Charvel
Anderson Koa SemiHollow Drop Top
