I've checked on Ebay and have only let a few slip through my fingers, still hoping to find one someday. I also saw a version like this with a single coil in the neck someone on the Carvin forum called a DC131 (not a production name obviously).
Will they make this or will there be compromises like the newer rounded headstock and an upcharge for a single humbucker and reversed headstock?
I recall they would do the pointy Carvin headstock for +$150 a few years ago... Way to steep for an option that doesn't cost them any more to make (they are still considered a custom shop so there theoretically shouldn't be an upcharge).
Also could care less if it had a Kahler or a Floyd (prefer the Floyd)

They'll make you that one-pickup guitar, but not with that Jackson-style headstock. They'll still do their other pointy headstock, but I'm not sure how much of an upcharge that is now. They don't use Kahlers any more, but you get the choice of a Floyd or Wilkinson, Fender-type hardtail, TOM/stoptail or TOM/string-thru. Hell, they even give you the choice of ebony, rosewood or maple boards, as well as a few different inlay styles now. You'd have to check their catalog/website forum or call customer service to see how much the different options are.

Don't know, but they've never stopped actually making it. You could always order a one-humbucker model. I would think it would cost a little bit less than a two-humbucker model. In the '80s, you could always order the DC125 with a neck pickup, then that became more popular and became the DC127. You can get it either way you choose.
You can also still order a DC145 which is the H/S/H model. They just don't seem to advertise a lot of their options in the catalog or website for some reason.

Since 1946 Carvin has been designing professional audio systems, guitar amplifiers, bass amplifiers and wireless systems. Kiesel Family owned and operated.

Looks like other than J/C, Carvin are the only ones making the Jackson type pointed headstock. Will they also allow jackson type shark-fin inlays if I order a custom? Or is it too "jackson" looking and no-no?

Read the thread again. They WILL NOT do the Jackson-style headstock. That is an old guitar. They were threatened legal action by Jackson in the late '80s, I believe, and can't use that headstock any more.
