  • Help.........

Hey I need a little help here I have a Fender Stratocaster and I need
to know on how far the pickups should be from the strings?
and it has a little bit of a hum and I'm not sure if that's the ground that is not hooked up right or not.
Thanks for all of your help.

you should see the ground wire soldered to the trem claw, yes? Or is it a hardtail?

Yeah it's hooked to the trem claw (I have a Floyd on it so it's not a hard tail)
and it still has a buzz to it and if I swich to the back pickup only it has such
a bad buzz/humm to it you can't even play it.

You've either lost a ground wire somewhere or the switch is bad.

Fret at the 12th marker and the poles should be about this _ far from the strings. Maybe a tad farther but not much. I got that from the Fender instructions that came with one of mine.
I am a true ass set to this board.
