  • PRS SE standard...

i've been checking these out lately... aside from being korean, they seem pretty solid for the price. anyone play one? just looking for some input.
    Guitars... Rhoads RX10D
    Amp... Pioneer
    Effects... Boss ME-20

They play really nice and look. However I think on the clean channel they sound kind of weak, but when played through an over driven amp, they sound great.

these Korean PRS SE's are probably made better than a lot of US guitars, actually.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Pretty nice guitars. The tuners and nut could use an upgrade though!

I didn't like any of the ones I've played. I may be a little jaded since I own a Custom 22. Given the choice, I'd spend a little more and get an all mahogany CE.

I picked one up when they first came out. Not bad bang for the buck, but just about any Model Series or toothpaste Charvel kills it, imo. Mine's been out of the case maybe twice in the last 3 years. I'd probably play it more if I'd gotten the hardtail rather than the trem version. The newer models might be better. Who knows? Some of them definitely look nicer than the first series.
