Stick with Beak necks and Nana headstocks and your guaranteed a great guitar.

All Kramer's were made in Japan or otherwise after 1986.

The American series as well as the Focus guitars were made by ESP.

So they arent truly American per say, but they are definately still quality Guitars. (At least the Very late 100 Series, the Focus Series and The US Made/American Series)

I have a very nice 87 baretta II. While being made of ESP parts(neck and body) there aint nothin cheap about it Its a rock solid high quality guitar.Great tone, great looks, an OFR and a sweet as hell Duncan JB weathered over time but an outstanding player.
                        Really? well screw Mark Twain.

On the Note of ESP's, they are another Damn fine brand of guitars.

I've never heard of any bad ESP's, so What they made has gotta be good

Well, they were assembled in Neptune from Japanese parts, that much I know. I tried to strike a deal with an ex-Kramer employee for the Kramer forum guys a year ago and he wanted top dollar for pieces that were basically factory returns. Evidently when a neck got returned to Kramer for being warped or something they threw it right back on another guitar and sent it out! If it looked new, it was new enough.
The neck throughs I was fairly certain had little to do with New Jersey, so I was curious. I'd love a pink one

Yeah, the American series, except the Stagemasters (neck-through) were all made and assembled in Japan
