  • Replace Single with HB in Fender Strat

I have an American Fender strat.. probably 10 years old, great shape.
It has 3 single coil pickups. GREAT clean and slight overdrive sound. I love the way it plays.
Sound is not so good with harder rock. I have a DK2M as my main axe for metal.

I would like something that gives a really good hard rock sound.. like GNR, etc. Probably some sort of a Les Paul Humbucker sound.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a humbucker pickup that will fit in the place of the bridge single coil pickup? Or maybe theres a hotter single coil that would work well.

Or should I just leave it alone, and save some money and look for a used Les Paul for $500 or so..??

Seymour Duncan Little 59 for Strat. a mini humbucker in single coil dimension.

I have one in my Tele and it rocks.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

The Duncan Hot Rails and DiMarzio FastTrack 2 have always been my favourites for beefing up a stock Strat.
