Dude! Thanks for that review man, I've been trying to get ahold of one to play one before I buy it to check out how good it is, but I think I'm pulling the trigger on it next week now. Congrats, it looks killer!

Inearthed: The street price is $899 and the only place online I found one of these was DrumCityGuitarLand.
I would highly suggest that if anyone was interested in one to give Nick (Jacksonite) a pm and he could probably include a case at no extra charge!

Joshulator: Yeah... Rusty's guitar was right up there on my list cause it looks pretty sick and I love the graphic and inlays, but they want fuckin $1899 for it.......NO WAY I would definitely go for a Loomis... real EMGs, real 7 string OFR, set-neck, maple board, really good upper fret access, and a pretty good and simple knob layout
As far as the battery compartment...... I hate all batery compartments because to me it is just an unnecessary hole and lost wood. I have had no problem shoving 2 batteries in to some small ass control cavities before
      but they are "convenient".
I do not know anything about why people like/hate the battery box or compartment over the other.

IrfaanSE801: Cool man!! Hope you get one and love it like I do!!!!
Just be wary that the neck is kinda big it feels just a bit bigger than a Hellraiser, but I have some small fuckin girl hands and it feels really comfortable to me so.......... just keep that in mind

Very nice! I've been eyeing that guitar as well. My only hope is that it will make me play like Jeff Arpeggios here I come!

the neck on this is bigger than the neck on the original Hellraiser 7?
BTW Carlinoguitars has one in stock.

they're in Medford right outside of Boston. Ed Carlino the store owner is a real nice guy.
I bought my hellriser 7 from him last year.
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

Yes, the neck feels fatter and looks a lot fatter than the New Hellraiser 7 that nateb just bought like 2 weeks ago....... but we will see for sure at band practice tonight to compare. Is there an older and newer version of the Hellraiser??????

Seriously, when my friend whipped it out of the box and I saw the neck....
I shit a fucking brick My friend at GC is a bass player and he was like " yeah, that neck is pretty fucking big"

But then I got home and played it and evrything felt cool It is really comfortable for me to play on..... even with my sissy girl hands:ROTF:

Wow... nice pic of it at that CarlinoGuitars site..... I need to take better pics!

I *think* it has a bigger neck than the Hellraiser, but i will definitely get a hands on analysis of the two tonight at band practice when i get a hold of nate's Hellraiser.....

I don't know... the hellraisers neck just felt like a hollow neck... like those chocolate bunnies from easter...... maybe that is making me think it is thinner and that the neck on the Loomis is bigger since it feels so f'n solid...... but we will see for sure tonight and also nate has a caliper so we shall measure..... oh yes we shall measure its "GOITH" !!!

Cool looking guitar. I saw one in Guitar World a month ago - started getting GAS then. Betcha I don't see one over here for a few years, if ever - but I'm going to be looking.................

Cool man, congrats. I would've bought one too but I don't really need the floyd. So I got a C7 Blackjack instead. If the Loomis sig is anything like my Blackjack, it rocks!

                        OK,

Now that my access is back, I can comment on the Loomis model after Jeremy brought it over for practice....

The neck is slightly beefier, a little more C shape to it. Another nice thing, which I hate about the Hellraiser is the knobs. The Hellraiser doesnt need two volume and a tone control, I like the controls of the loomis model The only thing that I wish that they would do is move the volume a littel bit farther away from the bridge. Tone is basically the same. I haven't changed the strings on it and that is probably the reason it sounded hollow to Jeremy. Chocolate bunny... that was funny... fag . The guy eats strings for breakfast and they never really go dead for him. One last thing, and this is the big one. The finish is satin and it really feels really slick on the back of the neck. Definately a nice instrument.

                        -Nate
                        Insert annoying equipment list here....

Play it for awhile, and it will get a glossy shine... it's just what happens with satin finishes.

I was amazed at how well Schecters play. Great guitars for the cash.
