I don't see this kind of crap at Jemsite and yeah, I guess now I will check out the ESP forums.

When I signed up to this forum, I didn't realise it meant I'd have to act as Jackson's representative in the community. This is a fan forum, not company-owned, and not populated by Jackson employees, so I don't see how the tactless replies by a couple of members here are going to hurt the company. I hope you don't base all your purchases on whether a fan of the product in an online forum is nice to you. "oh, this guy at the Pepsi Forum was mean to me. I'll never buy a can of Pepsi Max again."

....and if you guys supported Jackson as a company and were helpful (isn't that one of the reasons for this board) instead of insulting and crass, maybe Jackson could grow as a company.

What I see in this thread was a bunch of guys who responded to your claims that there are no nice Jacksons in all of Boston, and who helpfully pointed out where you could get some.

Seems from your first post that you were spoiling for a fight, and regardless of the majority's responses to you, you'll gladly jump on the 2 tactless responses as evidence of the general vibe here.

Just as a side note to this. Us JC forum members do own other guitars besides Jacksons and Charvels; including ESP old and new and LTD stuff. We all have our favorite guitar brands and neck shapes that wa like. Etc....
However spouting of like that March isn't a good way to make a first impression. Sure you couldn't find a dealer near you (not to metion look at the top of the page you postesd this thread on to see Mattsmusic) and just dissed the JC name and bosted about the ESP's you picked up. Which in my opinion are over priced for what they are in comparison to other brands of the same options and build quality. But thats just me. Can't we all just get along?
And not be so biased. Yes I love mY jacksons and Charvels and probabl always will. But i dont limit myself to just J/C. I;ve owned Ibanez, Gibson, Fender, Hamer (both old USA and imports), Dean, etc... Altho i have yet to find an ESP worth its money new or used to my liking. Especailly when i just buy a Jackson and get exactly what i want for less with better build quality in most cases.

Whatever people. It's not a lie that Jacksons are not that cool anymore, I mean, people saying that "Jackson's aren't that cool anymore" because of the "pre-Fender" thing, wasn't a good reasons, in fact, most people say that quality actually got better by the Fender deal.

BUT, saying that Jacksons "aren't that cool anymore" because of the insane price increase for the Custom Shop (which WAS actually one of the best things Jackson had, it was not very expensive and it was great), the recent EXTREME time waiting periods AND on top of that, the quality issues, broken hardshell cases, etc etc... I think it's okay to say it.

Look at me, I just ordered a Rico Jr. Custom Vixen, the only way to go if you ask me. American, awesome quality, playability, 4 months waiting period and not crazy expensive. It costs like Jackson BEFORE the price increase.

This week they had ZERO USA made Jacksons except a vomit green Soloist. I was there with the wife. They are carrying a ton of Gibson, Fender, Epiphone, etc., and they have a bunch of lower end Ibanez and JS level Jackson crap.

That's the first place we checked out.

Plus, the guys working in GC there are the most arrogant SOBs you have ever seen. I guess they do not work on commission because you would think they would be a lot nicer to potential clients who are going to drop several grand on equipment.

It's cool I don't go in there very often, could be that they have shitty stock right now. I definitely agree about the service or lack thereof. I thought that they don't bother helping me out because I'm 21 and they think I'm unlikely to spend serious money but it sounds like they act the same way toward everyone.

This has only been my experience at GC Boston. Other stores I've been to in the Detroit area (particularly GC Southfield) have always been very helpful to me.

That's somewhat uncommon in my experience. Most shops that have stocks of higher-end stuff from big manufacturers aren't usually too helpful to me. I have better luck with mom & pops and places where thick layers of dust have collected on guitars that might have been there for decades.

I live in Mass too, not a lot of Jackson's around except for Matt's. Any dealer here will work with you to get you what you want though, give them a call!

Hey I live in Boston I cheked out matts its really cool they have a lot. I think because of the music schools Jacksons are in and out quick and store employees grab the as well, there were a few just up on ebay from boston as well as craigs list and the want add. I am not a good player below average my local music store sells Fender and ESP when I go in all the employes want to play my usa jackson I tried out that Kirk black esp I didnt think it was that nice1000$ My model 6 sounded better in my opinion so just keep looking there easy to find

I had a kid come in to play a recent amp i sold, and when i handed him my CS Jackson to test the amp out, he insisted on playing with a junker SG.

Probably thought my jackson was some weirdo guitar.

The real reason some enthusiasts can't find Jacksons in their area is because their local shop markets themselves for the snotty nosed 10 year old who will probably through his £100 Fender Starter Kit in the closet after a week. Tough. Look elsewhere, mail order it, or just wait until like myself, who happened to stumble across a 2006 Kelly in the same shop that barely stocks JS models. If I want something badly enough and can't be arsed to do M.O, then it's "Special Order/full deposit required".

Well in this case (Jackson) I believe the price increase had nothing to do with the depletion of any materials. The pricing on Jackson Custom made guitars went from "ok" to "are you serious??" in a very short term of time, I can't recall it exactly, but maybe like I read the news on the forum and in less than a month, my quotes came back with 2000 dollars extra, with the SAME specs.
