danastas- sounds like the kid was afraid of the Jackson- too expensive for him to repair if he screwed it up, maybe? LOL

I'm a Jackson USA guy- they are much nicer than the cheaper models- just compare them side by side and anyone with half a brain can see for themselves.
I have to take exception to Marches' blanket statement about even LP Customs being crap....you must be talking about a crappy Chinese wannabe copy! (I'm granting the point about cheaper Gibson models- just like any other guitar company trying to cater to the demands of consumers- usually at the cost of some of their respect) I have two LP Customs, and both are from the Norlin era which gets lots of grief- but they are still ten times the guitar that anything I've ever seen ESP put out is- and I've seen many over my nearly 35 years total playing! ( I know- ESP hasn't been around that long- not the point)

I bought one of my Jacksons from a guy who custom ordered it, and then ordered an ESP custom shop a few years later- he sold me the Jackson to get the last money together for his ESP that had arrived. (Drum City Guitar Land) I checked out the ESP, and while it was nice, it wasn't THAT nice....and I wasn't into the Bill the Cat graphic, either, really....But he paid nearly $2k for each of 'em, and I ended up with the way better guitar of the two.

It's all in what you like personally- or what you are willing to settle for. But that doesn't excuse throwing random insults at any and all other guitars in the area....THAT was the stupid part to me.
Opinions are just like assholes- everyone has one and they usually stink! Mine too- but I still have some opinions to share whether they're crap to everyone else or not! But I'm not going to throw a bunch of vicious lies in everyone's face!
We're here to talk about this stuff, not to be stinky assholes just for the hell of it! There's probably a forum just for that here on the 'net somewhere....
If you're going to be an asshole, you really don't have to make up stupid untrue things to say just for the sake of being insulting....Ya got some sour grapes to talk about, well then cool! But no one should just start spouting mean spirited BS just for the sake of venting-
That probably covers just about all I had to say- and I did it without pointing any fingers directly at anyone!! WOW- what a concept....
