+1. However be warned, the guitars with solid colors are painted that way for a reason. They often have bad spots on the wood. If you do still do it, you'll want probably want to put some kind of stain on it though.

You could just oil the body and neck and be done with it.
It will darken the color of the body a bit.
Where did you get the neck from? It should already be sealed.
All you would need to do is keep it clean and oil it up when you change the strings.

Kleen Strip-paint stripper- available at home inprovement and paint stores- pretty much wherever decent paint/painting supplies are available around you- Around here it's Lowe's and Home Depot....
Maybe a pawn shop for a palm sander? You could slowly remove the paint to a point where it looks cool- maybe not even all bare. Like a Coyote custom relic?? Woo- Hoo! I'd be nervous about the Kleen Strip eating away any possible filler spots....I'm not sure if it would or not- Read the label and ask the store!
There are semiflat finishes available to seal the wood from the elements as well. Might be a good idea- it would keep water and dirt out of the wood.

I will check the lable just in case I have a small sander and I also have a biger belt sander would that work? I will wotch and make sure I don't go to far and mess up the wood.

                    Thanks again....

Be careful with belt sanders. That would probably start to eat into the wood pretty quickly. Same goes for a grinder. The small sander may be ok though if you are careful.
