The one I remember was a string through and a 'name' inlay running up the neck, not just at the 12th.....

Thats the one. ROOT was inlayed over the 12th but it hung over to the 10th and the 14th...

Hmmm - maybe that's a different guitar, or I'm remembering it differently. I'm sure the guitar I'm thinking of had the inlayed name at the lower end of the neck....

Well, he only had 1 trans black Soloist so it has to be the one. He and Mick were photographed on the cover of Guitar World with it during the "Iowa" cycle. He had the black and silver mask on in the shot. I'm sure we are talking about the same one...

I've have many PRS's and sadly for me they don't seem to 'cut-through' the band like other guitars.

Yep, I've seen them. Have not played one yet, that should change in a couple of weeks. He just got them and I have not been in the same area with them yet. I "helped" him pick the specs for it though, so I'm pretty familiar with them...
