Yeah it's a little bit of an addiction. Gotta show the love for the KV2 though.

Actually those electronics while they look cool annoy me. I have them disconnected on the Mockingbird and the Bich with the Floyd.

It was a couple weeks shy of 11 months. Only thing that pisses me off is apparently these days the walnut stringers aren't standard in the Supreme package so the Wave is missing them. Had I known I would have ordered them. Oh well. It still sounds, looks and plays amazingly. The balance is right on par with the KV2.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Thanks Lorne. I had them put a Quad in there because I've just grown tired of fussing with a floyd. The other Bich and MOckingbird had quads as well but I threw a tone pros wraparound on them because of intonation problems. I may do the same with the Wave but it's perfect right now so I'm probably just going to leave it alone.

Nice Rich Basses. Love the 8 string Bich. I guess all I have left on my list for guitars is a 10 string bich!

Thanks mate, that is a 1985 Supreme Bich bass, one of only about 20 ever made
The Mockingbird was played by Phil Lynott on a Thin Lizzy video

          I've PM'd you BTW

Nice collection! But what in the world are all the knobs/switches on the Wave Supreme? I assume the one closest toward the neck is volume, then a 3-way pup selector, then either another volume or tone, then tone? Then I would guess coil-splitting but there are more switches than pups -lol. I'm confused.
                Unleash the fury.....Texas style!

The Mockingbird and Wave electronics are

                  Volume
                  Tone
                  Preamp Volume
                  Pickup selector
6 position varitone (chicken head switch)
                  Preamp on/off
                  2 coil taps
                  Phase switch

The Bich full active package is the same with separate volume for each pickup and phase and coil taps for each pickup

Erm, the Bich circuit has dual overdrives so it's a bit different again. It's also not an active circuit.

Here's a graphical representation of the basic (non-Bich) full circuit:

Looking at the Tone Pros bridge I'm surprised. Can you give us more information on exactly why the Quads couldn't intonate?

How is that any different than what I said? And how is it not an active circuit? I suppose the 9V battery is there for decoration?

It's easy, the design of the quad lets the ultra wound section of the string by the ball of the string to come in contact with the saddles and limits the travel of the saddles to increase the length of the string. You can only pull he saddle back so far before it comes in contact with the ultra wound part o the string and in some cases you can't intonate it. you can move the bridge back with the hex screws that are in the back of the bridge to lengthen those strings but this resulted in the bridge tilting and not having full contact with the posts.

The warparound TonePros eliminates this by hiding the ultra wound part of the string under the bridge because it wraps around, this provides more room for the saddle to move back and forth and elminates the need to pull the bridge back with the hex screws installed in the bridge although it is still an option. On top of this the TonePros has locking studs that keep the bridge flat.

Technically, it boosts the input signal (hence the "booster" switch). You can actually remove the 9V battery and the rest of the electronics will function as normal. As such, it's not a real "active" circuit.

Thanks for the explanation on the Quad. I haven't encountered that problem yet.

Yep Sanctuary is right, unless the booster is in the "On" position, the guitar is running in Passive mode,it's only when the booster is on,that the guitar is Active

Far as I can tell Sanctuary is nit picking. It's an active circuit but to BE active has to be turned on. Well no shit. It's still an active circuit but can also be run in passive mode.
