  • Flying V style guitar

So I am looking for a Flying V style guitar. I already have Rhoads models, and I am already in process of ordering my Jackson Stars King V, but I want a rounder horn V.

I was curious if anyone know of some decent flying V's out there.

I don't want anything that is top route like the Gibson / Epi flying V's. I don't want bolt on, and if I can skip it, I'd like not to have a neck pickup, but that one isn't a deal breaker.

I know Ibeenhadz has a decent looking flying V copy coming out, but I'd like to see some more options before I decide. Anyone got some links I can check out? I'm not really looking for custom pieces as most of my money is tied up right now.

    thanks
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

The Ibanez V is in the King V style I believe.

when it comes to roundhorn V's there is no substitute for Gibson bro

you don't want top route, ok there's other Gibby's to look at...

the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Eakinj - were you talking about the current production Ibanez V's ?

Imho if we're talking about Ibanez then search for one of the Rocketrolls (or even the earlier series which we're direct Gibson ripoff) - at least here they could be bought fairly cheap - but i don't know anything about the prices in the States.

It depends on how much you want to spend, if you want to go used or new, etc. But the Hamer V's are killer guitars. Here's a pic of my 83 Vector.

It's got a killer classic metal tone, very Judas Priest-like.

Or, you could just build one of your own.

Very nice! Looks like it's equipped with the patented "whammy bar neck" like in the George Lynch commercial...

I hate to admit it, but even despite lacking many "must have" features — 24 frets, Ebony fingerboard, Floyd, etc. — my Gibson V '67 is probably the most comfortable guitar I own. I bought a new pickguard for it, and truss rod cover with a (sort of) Gibson logo on it, off an eBay store (name is "aiguitars", dunno how he gets away with it). So now my '67 also looks pretty good.
please don't put it into words, 'cause I fear what you're thinking

It looks nothing like the KV.
