  • Charvel...Jackson... you could learn a few things from Carvin!

Check out what my friend just got... from Carvin after only 18 weeks
from order date! All KOA back sides... matched top... gold hardware..
matching headstock in Koa... Abalony dots in the maple fretboard.
    Bartollini... SCHWEEEET!
The price? A rediculous $1530.00! That includes shipping and
Vintage tweed case! IMO a masterpiece, and it looks like it cost
$6K imo. Soak it in... and discuss amongst yourselves!

Awesome, and Koa ain't cheap! They must be very efficient at controlling costs and quality I might add!

I love Carvin guitars, but one thing I wish they'd learn from Jackson is how to put binding on a neck and headstock!
              Ron is the MAN!!!!

Sorry, never been a Carvin fan....or a Peavey fan.
I get the catalogs every month cause I bought a speaker cab like 100 years ago, but I can't get into the vibe.

My Carvin DC727C 7 string is easily one of the best playing (and looking ) guitars I'ver ever owned.
I agree , they should offer binding on their necks and headstocks, as well as a few other things.
the options on the 7's are more limited than on the 6's but I'm glad I bought mine. It's a killer guitar.
A Jakcson 7 string soolist would've cost me 3 times as much.
                    This one:
10 weeks from order date to being delivered to my doorstep.
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

I like everything about Carvins except the headstock and the 2 pole per string pickups. those things turn me off, and the pup thing is an easy swap out, but the hs isn't.

I've been to the Carvin retail store on Sunset Blvd. impressive, but still I'm not quite there yet on the hs thing. maybe time will change that.

**************** I wish my new Jackson PC-1 had 1/2 of that
quilt quality !! Amazing... one thing, yours looks like it cost $8K !

Which HS? The CT looks pretty sharp and the pointy on the v-series looks like the 90's one. I seems to think Bass when I think Carvin. Those ICON basses smoke.

this one, it's on most of their strat shaped guitars.
it reminds me of a seagull or penguin beak.
the older pointy charvel shaped ones were much better but they apparently cost extra if you can get them to do it at all any more.
